Nia Dance and Yoga with Sarah

Classes in Mitchelton and Samford Valley

What is Nia?

Nia is a fun, dynamic movement practice that leaves you feeling energised and alive. Blending the latest body-mind science with ancient wisdom, Nia educates and inspires you to live and move with embodied Joy.

Whether you’re looking to get fit, strengthen your body, feel good or cultivate awareness, Nia is the practice for you. Blending music and movement with mindfulness, Nia promotes fitness, mental health, neuroplasticity, self-healing, and balance. Best of all, Nia is fun. Nia invites joyful motion into every moment of life.

Some of the many benefits of Nia include cardiovascular health, alleviation of stress and anxiety, hormonal stability and an increase in well being, leaving you feeling energised, alive, mentally clear and emotionally balanced.

The practice draws on the chemistry of nine movement forms: Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jazz, Modern Dance, Duncan Dance, Yoga, the Alexander Technique and the work of Moshe Feldenkrais®.
